Kerry has been involved with blogging in some capacity for several years. From writing keyword-rich content optimized for search engines to setting up Movable Type and WordPress templates, Kerry is well equipped to create and update a popular blog for your organization.

Bostonist

Kerry became co-editor of the Boston news and events website Bostonist.com in April 2007. Since she took over the site, Bostonist has added several new writers, who cover film, beverages, science, books, and food, as well as unique features including MassDebate, LOLGov, and Flash photo galleries. Editorship involves coordinating 15 staff writers who must create at least 8 posts each day. Kerry posts multiple times a day herself, and edits writers' contributions as well. She also solicits and posts guest pieces from occasional contributors. Bostonist is part of the Gothamist network, which has recently implemented YouTube video tagging on its sites (Flickr tagging was already in effect). Kerry implemented a Twitter feed for Bostonist, which has led to many new readers. She also updated the site's extensive directory of Boston-area links. The site is still working to build readership and community. See Kerry's posts on Bostonist.

Emerson College Graduate Admission Blog

Kerry coordinated the setup and execution of the Emerson College Graduate Admission Blog, which launched in November 2008. This endeavor involved working with various departments at Emerson College, recruiting student bloggers, creating training documents, assisting in the design process, and editing and publishing all student blog entries. The blog is currently being marketed to prospective graduate students. Visit the blog.
